The Vertigo Series is a set of 20 new levels designed by the Gods themselves! The level design is awfully cool and you now got those cool lightning effects known from Doom. It also features 6 new robots and a continued storyline so it's definitely worth checking out. It was sold seperately and bundled with the Descent Mission Builder 2 - the best D2 level editor on this planet - as "Descent - The Infinite Abyss". Meanwhile you can get it only bundled like in "Descent - The Definitive Collection" at very reasonable prices.

Though the level design is quite twisted the Vertigo Series does not contain so many difficult scenes (especially not the secret levels, I didnīt even make a section about them!). Apart from that those levels really rock; those lightining effects are incredible.

Not too difficult, just another stupid Guided Missile trick ;)

Well, simliar to getting your first Omega Cannon in D2 Counterstrike - level 13 and equally tricky. Just place your ship as depicted and use the Phoenix Cannon or a Smart Missile to smash the trigger.

First you need to get the yellow keycard to access the trigger above the yellow keycard door. This trigger opens the grate (not depicted) that locks up this sector. BTW, thereīs another one hidden in this level, did you find it?

This oneīs so easy, I overlooked it for the first time! Better get it right at the beginning!

Again the mapīs a little crowded but itīs easy to get if you check the demo.

Watch out for an ambush coming from above when grabbing the red key!

The secret door can only be opened from the inside, so you have to use a Guided Missile (again!). Donīt forget to open the grate first!
